                          Fundraising

                          Picture
Currently, the fundraising target is a minimum of £700 (TBC) for each individual. Volunteers must reach this target before they go away. But fear not - there is a committee memeber dedicated to helping you fundraise and every volunteer last year reached above this with one volunteer managing to fundraise a phenomenal £2000!

                          Where does the money go?
                          • All the money fundraised in the name of BVDA must go towards the project-
                          • The money is spent on building materials, teaching equipment, basic food and accommodation and sometimes includes a donation to the charities we work with
                          • The money cannot be spent on Flights, Injections, Travel before or after the project, admin, the running of BVDA or visas
                          Ideas for fundraising include:
                          • Sponsored walks/ runs
                          • Club or band nights
                          • Street collection. Bag packing
                          • Themed dinner
                          • Raffles

                          Deposits

                          Picture
                          • To commit to a project, there is a deposit of £250 and this will be collected in two instalments throughout the year
                          • The purpose of this deposit is to provide the charities we work with with funds to set up the projects before volunteers arrive and to ensure that each volunteer can raise the target amount
                          • This deposit is fully returnable so long as the volunteer reaches the fundraising target
