Where we work ...

Our main work takes place in communities in the developing world. Currently we have projects in Uganda, Rwanda and Nepal and we have previously worked in India and Thailand. A lot of our work also takes place in Bristol raising awareness, promoting understanding and fostering discussion of development issues in the local student and residential community.

Uganda

BVDA volunteers have been travelling to Uganda and working in partnership with LBA since 2004. Based in Eastern, rural Uganda this project works within small villages and is focuses equally on education and construction. Find out more about Uganda.

Rwanda

Our partnership with RVCP in Rwanda is BVDA's longest standing partnership. Based in a town, volunteers work with Rwandan students focussing on issues of general sanatation and sustainable income generation in local communities.

Nepal

BVDA works in conjunction with PSD to send volunteers to Illam, Eastern Nepal. The projects are focuses around the local school with construction and teaching taking priority.

BVDA UK

A big part of BVDA's work is to promote and raise awareness about International development. We mainly achieve this through partnership with our sister society BVDA UK. We are actively involved in club-nights, fundraisers as well as debates and discussion surrounding the high-profile topic of International aid and development.
